A look at the radar at 12:30 a.m. shows lots of birds on the move once again. With NW winds through out most of the state birds are moving SE meeting winds over Miami that are blowing SW. This may stack up birds for us down here in Miami; lets keep our fingers crossed. More on this in the morning, hope to see more reports from around the state on the site.

Sorry but only have limited time to post an intrepreatation of the today’s radar images but birds are definitely on the move south. Most interesting was the concentration of birds between the Georgia and Florida border. The JAX radar picked up lots of movement last night. For us in the south some light movement was evident, inland locations seem to look best today. Some interesting movement visible clearly on the Key West radar is the movement of what appears to be shorebirds moving from the Lake Ingraham shores to the lower Keys. Migration is heating up; have a great time birding out there.
