Non-migration conditions

Winds are out of the east from the surface all the way up into the atmosphere where birds tend to migrate. It looks like there’s still a trickle of birds coming out of Cuba, but it’s pretty small. The Gulf is under some nice southerly winds, as it has been for the last couple of weeks, making for good migration conditions for birds leaving the Yucatan heading north…alas, we must wait for the winds to become more favorable for Florida.
