More birds coming across

More birds came across the Florida Straits last night, despite the strong easterly winds that persist over the area. A small push is also seen leaving the lower keys and West Cape, on Cape Sable, just after sunset. All birds appear to be heading to the west, either towards Fort Desoto, or up toward the eastern Gulf Coast. If anyone happens to bird the west coast, any reports would be greatly appreciated (just post them in the comments, it’s so easy and fun!), although movements this small may be difficult to detect on the ground.

Good Birding 🙂

Here’s the radar from sunset last night through 6:00 this morning. Check out the velocity image too- it’s really cool!
