More radar from this morning…

Thanks to Ken Schneider for emailing me this late-morning radar loop from Miami.

As you can see, the birds crossing the Keys as of 5:30am apparently continued on to make landfall in SW Florida (most likely in the coastal prairies and mangroves of Everglades National Park). I’m sure some also continued on into the Gulf (haven’t checked the recent Key West Radar) but some clearly hit the mainland of Florida this AM.

Ken also noted the circular “burst” east of Fort Lauderdale in the early AM. This is most likely a roost… I’m guessing wading birds given the location:
