Light migration tonight; no radar to post tomorrow

Hey Floridabirders:

I’m going to be out in the field tomorrow morning, so I won’t be able to get the radar up to the site until later tomorrow afternoon. Migration is light from the SE–>NW across the state, and no migration out of Cuba is expected as winds are northerly over the Keys and Florida Straits.

Good Birding

  1. Thursday, April 24th, we had great success banding migrants at Cockroach Bay (Near the mouth of the Tampa Bay). Blackpoll warblers, black and white warblers, cape may warblers, black-throated blue warblers, palm warblers, blue grosbeaks, and American redstarts. All were very active from about 8am through noon.
