Migration on in the North

This is the radar from 6:00pm to 11:30am this morning. Winds were blowing from the NE–>SE through out the night. Sorry for posting so Late! We were not home to download and post the radar.

Frames are every 1/2 hour. Click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized animation.

Jacksonville and Tallahassee radars showed good movement of birds last night coming in from the North. Birds are still unloading from NC, SC, and Georgia into N. Florida. Good densities were evident at both Jacksonville and Tallahassee, we expect them to have some new birds around. Melbourne radar picked up movement of birds as well, although less than N. Fl it still looked pretty good. Miami radar showed alot less movement, with the NE winds we expect whatever flew in to be inland. Key West radar showed migration with some birds moving south towards Cuba. Birds are on the way down, let’s just hope that they are not all Yeloow-rumps. 🙂 LOL
