Hi Birders,
Last night there was some activity on the radar, birds took to the wing out of the Caribbean and headed towards southern Miami-Dade. A constant east wind averaging 19kts with gust of up to 28kts through out the night kept more birds from flying. Birding conditions should be better in the southern portion of Miami-Dade, and the Key Largo area. The movement of our wintering birds is apparent by looking at the Central and North-Eastern areas of the state, these birds are moving out of the state in a hurry. The forecast calls for more east winds next week, so hopefully the weather pattern changes for more favorable migration weather. Good Birding.

Any help from birders out there will be extremely appreciated and will make forecasting birding conditions on the ground more accurate. Thanks to all of you who have helped in the past with ground truth and sightings, your help is much appreciated.

Nature is Awesome,
Angel and Mariel
