First Big Flight Last Night!

This is the radar from 7:00pm last night to 6:00am this morning.

Frames are every 1/2 hour. Click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized animation.

Eastern winds dominated throughout the night. There was a large group of migrants that took off from Cuba last night hitting all of the Keys and Southern Miami-Dade. Best bets would be C111, Lucky/Annex, Everglades National Park and the Keys should have a new influx of birds. For anybody that has access to FL Bay to bird today would be the day. Good birding to all.

All sightings reported would be greatly appreciated for ground truthing the radar.

  1. Nice flight from Cuba!!!

The Miami radar too, shows a moderate departure, but an even greater arrival, especially from Lake Ingraham to the central Everglades… pretty cool!
