Birds are on the way…

A quick peek at the radar and vola; the birds are on their way. It looks as if migrants have really started to move in numbers. This is the first good movement into the lower half the state. Look out for new faces tomorrow morning.

  1. Hi All,

Between 7:00-10:00 AM the following migrants were seen from my yard on Rockaway Drive here in Holiday , which is roughly 200 yards from the Gulf:

    Blue-winged Teal 75 ( flocks of 40, 32 and 3 all moving south)
    American White Pelican 3
AMERICAN AVOCET 6 ( ALL in basic plumage)
    Ruddy Turnstone 14
    TREE SWALLOW 1 (adult)

Only one unidentified warbler passed through before I had to go to work. Sorry about the late post as the computer went down!!
