Huge Migrant Movement Tonight!

As of 10:45p.m. there are huge numbers of migrants over Florida with lots of
migrants heading out over the straights. From South Carolina to Miami there
are high densities of migrants riding down the coast, judging their speed
with velocity images we expect these birds to be passerines. Very little
weather is visible on the radar but with as many birds moving we expect the
morning to be birdy. Last night the radar looked impressive but the birds
flying were traveling really fast and leads us to believe that most of
the radar returns were not from passerines as they fly slower than what we
observed. These birds may have been a mix of Shorebirds, Waders, Swallows,
and Larids with passerines mixed in.
