Gone Birding

Please click on the above image to see the SE animation loop.  We are heading out to bird and will report back later.  Good birding to all.

  1. This afternoon during our stroll through campus we ran into a feeding flock of Warblers and a Vireo. We started off by looking for some Raptors overhead but only saw Turkey Vultures as we do everyday here. Today we had about 100+/- in 10 minutes passing over but no other Raptors with them, last week on Friday we had an immature Mississippi Kite soaring overhead(sorry Bill B); sweet!
We ran into the feeding flock in a Sea Grape tree and followed them to an Oak Tree where we had awesome looks at out first of season Blue-headed Vireo. The flock also consisted of B & W, Parula, Prairie, Magnolia, Yellow-rumped, Palm, Redstart, BG Gnatcatcher and a Ruby-crowned was heard but not seen. The place has been pretty birdy lately and we are expecting something good to show up any minute now; we will post if see anything unusual.
