Winter Birding Out; Spring Birding In

This is the radar from 5:00pm last night to 6:00am this morning.

Frames are every 1/2 hour. Click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized animation.

Don’t have much time this morning but birds were on the move north according to radar images. We also had a small puff of birds apparent on the radar flying in off the FL straights into the Keys and Southern Miami Dade. It may be hard to ground truth this movement if the birds hit the Everglades as they would be dispersed over this wide habitat thus making them hard to find in concentration. East winds will keep the birds on the west side of the county, check out Barnes, Castellow and KIH etc. More later.

Nature is Awesome,
Angel and Mariel
