Migrants are on the move tonight!

The birds are really taking to the wing tonight. There is clear signs of a mass movement out of Florida. Birds could be seen taking off over the Gulf near Fort De Soto Park headed towards the western panhandle. Migrants are lighting up the radar from Central FL to North Florida as well; high densities are being picked up by the radar as they fly north. East winds over the straights have the ability to take birds way out over the Gulf, if this happens the birds will make a late morning maybe even afternoon landing on the nearest coast. A rather larger group of birds are headed towards the Keys and seem to be headed in a slight NE direction as of the last radar update. Looks like it will be a good day to bird tomorrow, have fun and get those birds.
