  2. Happy Birthday!! Ditto Toe — MacGillivray’s would be nice. Nate Dias in SC keeps a close eye on weather and migrants and is predicting a nice push through the mid-Atlantic coast — just a bit up the road from us. Here’s what he says. [Note that he also references Pepe La Puma!]

    According to some listservs in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic areas, birders in the Carolinas could be seeing an epic southward push of migrants over the next 2-3 days.

    Apparently a lack of favorable conditions has stacked up birds for quite a while north of us and the floodgates were expected to open last night and tonight:
