WOW the radar looks amazing! Birds were concentrated over Georgia and Alabama early last night. A big push of migrants were ready for the flight. These birds could be seen flying down into FL from Tallahassee to Gainesville. The density recorded was impressive and some of the highest values we have seen all season.

The Keys look particularly interesting, we are curious to know if birds dropped out due to the deep moisture building to the south. Miami radar had lots of incoming birds at 4am, these birds may not fly over but rather land due to the weather to the south. Get out and bird, check out your local migrant traps.

  1. Birded Annex/Lucky 7:30 – 10:00. Tried Castellow and Sadowski but dead. Birded Barnes ~4:00 – 6:30. Totaled 21 warblers species, with more stuff dropping in late. Tomorrow looks to be promising.
