Viva Badbirdz2 & Migration!

Below is a snapshot of the national map with radar and weather fronts. As the season roars on you will see how much of the map will be covered with radar sites recording more and more birds on the move. Use this map to get an overall feel of migration and how weather fronts can affect nocturnal migration.

Hey everyone, Badbirdz2 is back! Birds are moving throughout the southeast and the midwest and are headed for you. Birds were departing early in the evening and can be seen moving NW on the Tampa Bay radar as well as Miami. A small flight out of Cuba was recorded on the Key West radar crossing the Straits. Winds aloft are still holding off major nocturnal migration, but this is all set to change real soon! As winds wrap around from the east and eventually from the south, the floodgates will open. Stay tuned to Badbirdz2 and see spring migration unfold!
